SOLVENT RECOVERY

traitement.jpg

CHAUMECA TECHNOLOGY works on effluents containing solvents and/or VOCs more or less concentrated in a vector gas which can be air or nitrogen (polluted gas). Treatment consists of recovering these solvents (xylene, heptane, hexane …) by adsorption in an activated carbon reactor to recover them by reusing them or carrying out the depollution of the carrier gas. This treatment is carried out near atmospheric pressure and at ambient temperature.

Depending on the concentration of solvent and/or VOC, the adsorption is implemented on a system comprising at least two columns of activated carbon, while ensuring continuous service. The process uses low pressure steam (3 to 4 bar g) for regeneration.

For low solvent concentrations in the polluted gas, it is necessary to carry out a pre-concentration using a rotary adsorber. The effluent to be treated (polluted air or nitrogen) comes out purified from the unit, and can be evacuated directly into a discharge stack or connected to any downstream process.

The adsorbed solvents and/or VOCs are recovered in the form of liquids, during the regeneration phase of the unit. The ultimate residue is very lightly charged water which will be decanted before rejection.
